Friends

Friends are gift from above. Given and prepared by Him so we'll learn how to appreciate, love and learn from each others. We're fashioned for relationships- two-ways relationship both with 'The Creator' and so-called human.
Am thankful for given opportunities to travel to different lands and meeting people with different kind of backgrounds, cultures and languages. Each of every person that I've chosen to call 'friend' carries his/ her beauty. Beauty; that's unique to him/ her only. Beauty; that I know there won't be another person like him/ her. Am blessed to have the privileged to see these displayed beauties!
Damaris; is a friend that i came to know during my leadership training course. I knew this girl carries something beautiful in her on the day when i met her.A displayed relationship with the Father and yearning for more of Him was/ is so transparent! And i'm encouraged to wanting to know Him more. She might think that I've been a huge blessing for her yet, she's totally a huge blessing for me! She taught me how to love other and self, she taught me how to have fun and fear the LORD...etc.
In few weeks time, she'll be walking on the isle and would say the word 'I do' to her lover. It'll be a beautiful day for this girl because she deserved the BEST from the Father and i know it'll be such a glorious day! Every part of me wanting so badly to be part of this celebration too yet...the distance cost too much and it's beyond my ability to fly myself there. Though, i might not be able to be there, my prayer for her is 'more of Father's heart be poured out to both of them'.
Thank you Damaris for being such a friend and thank you for challenging me to pursue Him more and live life to the fullest. I'm truly blessed to have known you as a friend. And know that whenever you go and whatever season you'll be in, He's faithful and His love towards you is endless. You'll surely be a blessing to many! Be loved because you have loved much!

July 10

After six months of lecture and outreach phase, 2010 DTS finally reached its end and now everyone is back to their own place pursuing what’s next for them. It’s been a great and challenging adventure for most of us, learning how to make right choices, letting go rights, releasing forgiveness; walk in opposite spirits and even trusting Him financially for their outreaches. Leaving with only return tickets and some cash truly putting their faith in Him when most of them thought Father will only do miracles to others rather for the ‘simple them’ and when they returned, every mouths proclaimed that He’s provided; more than enough! I’m always thrilled with stories like this! Knowing that He’s still able to do miracles today and does it only because of His love! And He did it to my people; to young people from every corner of Sabah (well, almost)! Not only had He provided but enlarging/ changing their worldview with His. My heart rejoices because He has allowed me to see the fruits of our cries, our trust, our inputs, our words, our lifestyles, our love for Him in these lives. Though hard times do come in the package of discipling/ mentoring, I’m thankful…thankful because we finished well, thankful because He’s faithful and thankful because He kept His promises! Thank you so much for you too have been faithful in running this race with us.

Would you continue to keep these students in prayer? Would you pray that…

- They will continue to grow in Him.

- To have a deeper relationship with Him.

- To keep bear good fruits and be lights everywhere they are.

- Will remember the mark of His goodness in their lives and will always run back to Him in every stage of life.

While they were away;

Questions after questions began to rise up from within me, I must say I finally have the time to breathe and think ‘bout what’s next. It was quite a hard time to evaluate, ponder, processing and waiting for the answers- unpacking the riddles of what might be the future/ where should I go or do and etc. I guess it would be alright if the matters of ‘relinquishing rights’ are not part of this process. After much holding back or defending what I think are ‘my’ rights, I realized that I can barely move freely or pursuing what He has for me. I think it’s time to start another journey of ‘trust’ …a journey of trusting Him financially, with new environment, new season and etc.

What will it be?

SBS (school of Biblical studies) - This school has caught my interest for many years now and I’ve been keeping it aside while waiting for the right time to pursue it. More than just a prompt and from the depth of my heart; I truly desire to share the Truth or at least introducing others who and what is the Truth, why I believe in this Truth and why they should also believe in the Truth that I’ve found. The school starts sometime in February 2011 in Singapore.

While waiting and preparing for SBS; I and the rest of the staff team are having a little break (am back for my part-time translation job though). We’ll be meeting in few weeks time for leadership teaching week and preparing for September and October BSS (Biblical studies seminars), the seminars will be taking place in few villagers and a handful of staff will help running them. We do hope that many will come and be part of these seminars since it provides good tools, teachings, new ideas/ ways of learning etc and am absolutely sure that it’ll be a great time in exploring His Word.

Just before BSS, Kikey (currently staffing) and I will be away for 2 weeks DTS workshop in Cambodia next months, most of our expenses for this trip have been covered and I’m truly thankful for His goodness. This will be the first time for both of us stepping into the land of Indo-China do pray for our safety, a trip that’s fruitful one, connecting with others from different bases and learning heaps/ pack-up more tools to bring back to Sabah and the most important thing is to continue to be a blessing.

And after few pages of writing, I think it’s now the time to end this newsletter. I do hope am managed to update you with what has been happening or going to take place in the future and surely, after many words…I want to say THANK YOU again for believing in me and trusting the works of the Father in this land!
